The Philadelphia 76ers looked exhausted a day after their key win over the Pistons and were easily dispatched by the struggling New York Knicks 119-78. Patrick Ewing broke out of his prolonged slump with a superb 26-point, 13-rebound performance, while Walt Frazier scored 19 for New York. Red Kerr led the Sixers with 20 points and 10 rebounds.

    Team Rebounds: NY 52-45
