George Gervin scored 24 for San Antonio while Tim Duncan contributed 16 points and 19 rebounds, leading the Spurs to a 98-93 win over the New York Knicks in a contest of two down-and-out teams. The Spurs snapped a 3-game losing streak while the Knicks lost their fifth straight despite 21 points from Walt Frazier.
