The Nets held Patrick Ewing and Allan Houston to a combined 15 points, we Richard Jefferson led New Jersey with 29 points, as the Nets upset New York 118-96 at the Garden. Buck Williams scored 15 points while grabbing 23 rebounds, and Jason Kidd came one rebound and two assists short of a triple-double for the Nets, who improve to 2-1 with the win. Willis Reed led the Knicks with 18 points and grabbed 16 rebounds.
