The Trailblazers led at halftime before the Lakers held Potland to 29 second-half points in a 97-84 Lakers victory. The Blazers' scoring troubles were made worse by the fact they lost Terry Porter and Mychal Thompson in the first half to injuries. Jerry West led Los Angeles with 16 points, and Rasheed Wallace led Portland with 18.
