Buck Williams led the Nets with 25 points and 18 rebounds, as New Jersey led the Milwaukee Bucks to their first defeat of the season with a thrilling 98-97 contest. Jason Kidd also came within an assist of a triple-double, helping the Nets to their third straight win. Michael Redd and Sidney Moncrief led the Bucks with 22 each. Ray Allen had a significant comedown from his 49-point output from yesterday, scoring just 9 points for Milwaukee.
