The Houston Rockets doubled the rebound output of the visiting Memphis Grizzlies, riding a 23-point halftime lead to an easy 131-88 victory. Six Rockets scored in double figures, led by Moses Malone's 25 points and 14 rebounds. The Rockets won easily, despite losing Hakeem Olajuwon four minutes into the game with a knee injury. Pau Gasol led the Grizzles with 22 points and 10 rebounds.
