Boston overcame a slow start to beat the Cavaliers 99-88 in Boston. Bill Russell led the Celtics with 20 points and 17 rebounds, with Kevin McHale chipping in 18 points off the bench. LeBron James was two assists shy of a triple double and outscored Larry Bird 24-8.
