The Hawks jumped out to a 67-42 halftime lead and never looked back, scoring at least 30 points in each period, thumping the Clippers 132-97. Bob Pettit again starred for the Hawks, scoring 27 points and grabbing 18 rebounds. Six Hawks scored in double figures, including Dominique Wilkins with 22. Danny Manning led the Clippers with 20 points.
