The New Jersey Nets beat the Knicks at their own game, using stifling defense early to put away the visiting New York Knicks, defeating them 107-90. Five Nets scored in double figurs, led by Darwin Cook's 16. The Knicks Patrick Ewing had 20 points and 15 rebounds for the Knicks, who got 0 points from Allan Houston in 27 minutes.

    Team Rebounds: NY 48-40
