Kareem Abdul-Jabbar scored at the buzzer to lift the Lakers to victory in an exciting game against the Phoenix Suns. The Lakers overcame severe foul trouble on Jabbar, Kobe Bryant, and Jerry West, and an injury to James Worthy. Magic Johnson, West, and Kareem each scored at least 24 points for the Lakers who overcame a furious game by the Suns, who had four with at least 24 poinbts: Shawn Marion, Amare Stoudemire, Kevin Johnson, and Larry Nance.
