Sacramento blew the game open in the third period behind a season-high 54-point quarter to defeat snap a three-game Memphis winning streak with a 123-122 victory. Oscar Robertson led the Kings with 38 points and 17 rebounds and Mike Bibby was two rebounds short of a triple-double as the Kings improved to 6-1. The Grizzlies lost despite Pau Gasol's 28 points and 15 rebounds, Sacramento nearly doubled Memphis' rebound total.
