    The Miami Heat withstood an 18-4 Hornet run in the second period to defeat New Orleans 123-110. Dwayne Wade led seven Miami players in double figures with 28 points, getting Miami's first triple-double in the process, as Miami snapped both their own their own three-game losing streak and the Hornets' three-game winning streak with the win. Larry Johnson led New Orleans with 34 points and 18 rebounds, as point guards Chris Paul and Mugsy Bogues combined for 40 points and 16 assists.
