MVP candidate Karl Malone led the Jazz with 22 points and 13 rebounds as Utah defeated Toronto 104-100 in a tough win for the Jazz. The Jazz tied for the lead in the Northwest Division standings with six players in double figures and tough defense in the fourth period. Toronto's Vince Carter led all scorers with 27 points.
