Kevin Garnett was unable to get his shot off before the buzzer as the Golden State Warriors won a thrilling 101-100 contest in Oakland. With Golden State leading 99-97 with the ball, Rick Barry committed an offensive foul, and Minnesota's Wally Szczerbiak responded with a three-point shot to put the Wolves ahead 100-99 with 14 seconds left. Barry gave Golden State the lead with 3.4 seconds left and played stifling defense on Garnett at the end to seal the Warriors' second straight win. Barry led the Warriors with 29 points, while Minnesota dropped their fourth straight despite 27 points from Garnett and 26 from Szczerbiak.
